About the Company

We are a leading European automotive manufacturing company specializing in high-quality plastic components and solutions for the automotive industry. We are looking for an experienced and strategic Human Resources Director to lead our HR organization across five manufacturing plants.


Position Overview

The Human Resources Director will be responsible for developing and executing the people strategy across five manufacturing facilities in Mexico. This executive will act as a strategic business partner to the senior leadership team, ensuring that the organization has the right talent, structure, culture, and capabilities to support business growth and operational excellence.


The ideal candidate is a highly analytical, strategic, and results-oriented HR leader with strong decision-making capabilities, extensive manufacturing experience, and advanced English communication skills.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall Human Resources strategy and operations for five manufacturing plants.
  • Partner with Plant Managers and senior leadership to align people strategies with business and operational objectives.
  • Lead and develop the HR teams across all locations, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and high-quality service.
  • Drive workforce planning, organizational design, talent management, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Analyze HR and business data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead employee and labor relations strategies, ensuring compliance with Mexican labor legislation and company policies.
  • Oversee union relationships and collective bargaining agreements where applicable.
  • Drive initiatives to improve employee engagement, retention, productivity, and organizational culture.
  • Lead compensation and benefits strategies to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.
  • Develop and implement talent acquisition strategies for operational, technical, professional, and leadership positions.
  • Support organizational transformation, restructuring, and change management initiatives.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of global HR policies while adapting them to local business and legal requirements.
  • Establish and monitor key HR KPIs, including turnover, absenteeism, headcount, productivity, talent pipeline, and employee engagement.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, ethics, inclusion, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the HR budget and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
  • Act as a key liaison between the Mexican organization and European/global leadership teams.



Requisitos

Experience

  • Minimum of 10–15 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • At least 5 years in a senior HR leadership position, preferably as HR Director, Senior HR Manager, or Regional HR Leader.
  • Strong experience within automotive or high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Experience supporting multiple plants or multi-site operations is essential.
  • Proven experience in labor relations, union negotiations, organizational development, talent management, and compensation.
  • Experience working within an international or European manufacturing organization is highly desirable.



Language Requirements

  • Advanced/Fluent English is mandatory.
  • The successful candidate must be comfortable leading meetings, presentations, negotiations, and communications with international and European stakeholders.
